Lookglass is operated by Linespotting, Sweden. This page is the privacy policy for the Lookglass website and the forthcoming iOS and Android apps.
What we process
Photographs you upload (fish, water, plants, tank or pond), optional notes, tank type, and a diagnosis written from those photos. On the website, token balance and tank history live in your browser. In the iOS and Android apps the token wallet is keyed to the store account (no email login) so it survives reinstall. Readings stay on the device.
xAI
Each reading sends your photos and notes to xAI (xAI Corp., United States) so a vision model can inspect the image. We do not sell photos. We do not use them for advertising. We do not keep a photo archive on our servers today — the file is sent for inference and the written protocol is stored on your device.
Payments
When native apps ship, token packs are sold through Apple and Google. Those companies process the payment. We receive a receipt so we can credit scans. We never see your full card number.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA or UK you can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of data we hold. Clear site data in the browser to wipe local tanks and readings. Contact us for anything we hold on a server.
